Celebrating its 45th edition in 2016, New Directors/New Films introduces New York audiences to the work of emerging filmmakers around the world. There will be a total of 27 films, with a healthy number of the films being international. The foreign countries represented, include the following; Israel, Ghana, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, India, Egypt, Jordan, China, Japan, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Poland, and the UK. From the review I have read, here are a few that I am especially interested in seeing: "In the Days of the City" (Egypt), "Nakom" (Ghana), "Happy Hour" (Japan) "Kill Me Please" (Brazil/Argentina). It is a joint effort between the Lincoln Center Film Society and the Museum of Modern Art in selecting the films. The check program, website for which films will be featuring a person involved with the film "introducing" the film and doing Q&A. The photo above is from the film "Nakom."
