In celebrating the 100 years of Czech independence the rare opportunity to see Dvorak’s original manuscript of Cello Concerto in B minor. This represents the first time the manuscript will be on view in the United States. During his last years of his life the Czech composer Anton Dvorak (1841-1904) was considered by many throughout the western world to be the greatest of all living composers. And his popularity has never waned: his music still speaks to us today and occupies a conspicuous position in performance repertoire.
