This is the first major exhibition to examine John Lockwood King (1837 - 1911) - designer, architectural sculptor, curator, educator, illustrator and journalist - whose role in the nineteenth century Arts and Crafts revival in British India received little attention. The exhibit three hundred objects-encompassing metalwork and furniture, drawings and paintings as well as ceramics and relief sculpture - from lenders across Britain, the United States and Pakistan.
