There are five films nominated for the 2017 Oscar Short Films (Documentary) all of these can be seen right now at the IFC in the village. There are two "programs" - Program B presents two films focusing on the refugee crisis in Syria. Both of these films are emotional, sad, but uplifting and inspirational as well. The two films are: "Watani: My Homeland;" directed by Marcel Mettelsiefen of the UK - it is 39 minutes. The second film, "The White Helments;" directed by Orlando von Einsiedel also of the UK, film is 41 minutes in length. The films are both outstanding, very memorable, and stay with you after leaving the theater.
