Featuring Maia Morgenstern, the director of the State Jewish Theater of Romania (Bucharest), in a tour-de-force performance as a Viennese cabaret performer, through her years as a refuge in Switzerland, Broadway stardom and her heartbreaking return to post-war Europe in search of life and love that she left behind. "Lola Blau" is written by Georg Kreisler and directed by Alexandu Dabija. Ms. Morgenstern is a "symbol of Romanian theater and film," is probably best known in the U.S. for the role of Mary, Mother of Jesus, in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of Christ." - Please note that the the performance will alos be performed on June 25 at 9:30 pm.
